Kampus Mengajar Activities Help Students Develop Softskills

    Kegiatan Kampus Mengajar organized by Kemendikbudristekdikti in collaboration with universities is acknowledged to have helped schools affected by the pandemic in master technology.

     In the Kampus Mengajar program, students are invited to help younger siblings in elementary schools, especially in the 3T (Lagging, Outermost, and Frontier) areas who experience learning challenges while teachers have to adapt to technology and be creative.

    "I personally like social activities and also the Kampus Mengajar program is relevant to my major, namely Special Education," added Eliza, a student at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University (UNTIRTA). Eliza also added that she was placed at SD Negeri Walantaka, Serang. At SD Negeri Walantaka, Eliza is not alone, she is accompanied by 4 friends from different majors and 1 from a different campus.

    In this program, Eliza and her team are given the responsibility to create teaching programs, assist school administration, and this process is carried out offline. In addition, they also help teachers to deepen their knowledge of technology. In this program, he gains experiences and lessons not provided by campus, such as micro-teaching and directly interacting with children in the original school environment.

    In the end, Eliza gave tips to be accepted into the program given by the Ministry of Education and Culture. "The first is to adjust the format given by the teaching campus, complete the files and make sure no files are left behind, and don't forget to complete the certificate if you have it. Just like in the second test, the written test deepens basic educational materials such as science or social studies. " Eliza added.
