Opening of Sea-Teacher Program

 First-week program Sea-Teacher at ISUFST, UAD sends three students to ISUFST to complete the tasks.

We arrived on 22 August 2023 at 19.00 and were greeted with a banner showing all three of us (Ilma Umi Aulia, Aulia Hidayati, and Desnika Putri). ISUFST fetched us using a van. Toward the dormitory, we stopped by a Thai restaurant for dinner and a little introduction to all the lecturers who came to pick us up. They ask about our culture and religion.

Arrived at the dormitory we felt grateful because ISUFST gave us a great place to live here in Dumaggas, Iloilo, Philipines for a month. The lecturers showed and briefly explained the dormitory that would be our place for a month. After a while, they leave us and let us break, because tomorrow will be a welcoming party for us.

The welcoming party is held on 23 August 2023 at 14.00 clock. At 12.00 a representative student of ISUFST* came to our dormitory to fetch us. Before we go three representative students of ISUFST introduce themselves. After an hour, we were ready to go and the van took us to the main campus the welcoming party was held. In front of the campus, many students welcomed us by waving small flags and dances from Philipines. The welcoming party is attended online by our campus as well. At the welcoming party, we are exchanging cultures of Philipines x Indonesia and ISUFST x UAD. After exchanging the culture, they introduced us to some food from the Philippines. Finished the welcoming party we went home.

As scheduled by ISUFST, on August 24, 2023, we will be introduced to the school where we will be practicing (St. Augustine Catholic School) for the next few weeks. After the three of us were introduced, we were briefed on our schedule for the next few weeks. The first week is for observation class, and the next week is for practice and assessment teaching.
